as many of you little fighters know i personally struggle with self harm, and so does my thomas. yesterday i received a package from my baby, and in it was a letter with him giving me his last blades.
he broke his very last blades into shards and promised to me that he is done with self harm. this boy brought me to tears as i read about how i’ve helped him overcome so much this past year and inspired him to quit cutting.
i’ve never been more proud or happy in my life. thomas is the most important person in the universe to me. knowing that he gave me his tools to keep safe so he can heal means so much. i’ve been told that i’ve helped people overcome self harm before, but hearing it from my teddy bear is the most incredible feeling. i can only say i’m the most proud of him, and i love him so much.
i took his blades and taped them to a note card for safe keeping. now its pinned to my photo board where i can see it everyday.
thomas, you give me strength everyday to keep from my own blades. with you i will try to quit self harm for good too. i love you, you keep me strong. <3
